The Knowe is a family run guest house in Callander, situated beneath the famous Callander Crags, with natural woodland to the rear abounding with wildlife. The resident proprietors, Rae & Ashley Rose, pride themselves on the high standard of personal service that they provide.
The front rooms overlook the picturesque town of Callander, situated within Scotland’s first National Park, and enjoy magnificent views down the valley to the Trossachs an area famous for history and beauty.
We have three ensuite rooms (one of which sleeps three) incorporating most of the features required of junior suites

Food is an important aspect of any holiday. We take great pride in the high standard of our cuisine with a wide choice on offer at breakfast.
Packed lunches can be prepared on request for those wishing to experience some of the magnificent cycle and walkways that abound in the area.
Prices are per ROOM per night and include breakfast.
There is a single occupancy discount of £20.00 per night.

Although internationally famous for its more leisurely pursuits, there are nevertheless many activity sports available close by for the adventurous spirit including a magnificent Leisure Centre with a comprehensive range of activities. An 18 hole PGA golf course is within a few minutes walk while the waters around Callander provide a challenge to those who wish to fish.
Callander is the ideal base for exploring Scotland. It provides access to the Trossachs and Loch Lomond as well as many other famous scenic attractions.
There is a rail network nearby with trains running to a variety of locations including a half hour journey to Edinburgh City Centre taking the stress out of visiting Scotland’s capital city. Whether for activity or relaxation, Callander can satisfy your needs.

From Stirling.
Take the A84 road, signed Crianlarich & Oban and continue to Callander. On entering Callander, an avenue of trees appears on the left. Shortly after the trees, watch for a pink cottage on the left. Turn right here, follow the road up over the old railway bridge then watch for Ancaster road on the left. The Knowe is down Ancaster road on the right and is well signed.
From the north.
On entering Callander watch on the left after the first pedestrian crossing for the Dreadnought hotel. Turn left here and follow the road round to the right and over the old railway bridge. You are now in Ancaster Road. The Knowe is about half way along here on the right and is well signed.
