Getting around without your own transport

If you have no transport of your own, you can use the DEMAND RESPONSIVE TRANSPORT system.

Demand Repsonsive Transport (a local Taxi Service) has been provided by Stirling Council for people who would have used public transport  but no longer have access to a regular public bus service, or for visitors to the area who want to get around. The service can pick you and drop you at any place within the designated boundary.

Where possible bookings should be made 24 hours in advance, however DRT suppliers may be flexible if this is not possible. DRT operate between  0700 & 2130 hours. Between these hours you can book a DRT taxi or bus to take you anywhere within the designated boundaries for the cost of a normal bus ticket.

View the DRT leaflet for more information

4 local areas covered: Fintry, Baqhuidder, the Trossachs Area, Killin and Strathfillan. All of these routes are serviced via a DRT agreement with Stirling Council using local service providers.

Briefly, this substitute for the Trossachs Trundler route and also a wider area works a bit like a taxi service but at public transport rates. It is operated in Tthe Trossachs area by Aberfoyle Coaches.
The fares structure and the booking system can be found on the Aberfoyle Coaches website.

More detail on the Trossachs DRT area can be found HERE

If the Trossachs Trundler service is re-introduced it will be announced on this page.
