About Almardon

Almardon Self Catering consists of three ensuite Bedrooms, a large modern kitchen with a full size dining table and a second dining area in a comfortable lounge.

The house is in a peaceful location in Callander in east side of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The centre of Callander, with its wide range of pubs, restaurants and shops is only 3 minutes level walk.

Furnished to an exceptionally high standard, the self contained property sleeps six persons, providing high quality comfort in 1 twin bedroom and 2 double bedrooms with king size beds. Our shower rooms have new showers and the bedrooms have lots of storage space. The bedrooms all have views and the house backs onto quiet of the river Teith - conducive to a good night's sleep.

The lounge is very comfortable and spacious, well presented and with a flat screen colour TV and DVD player.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge & washing machine and with both indoor & outdoor drying facilities.

Towels, linen and a welcome pack are included as standard.

Callander has a Co-op & Tesco both of which are open 7 days a week till 10pm.

Activities

Activities available in the Trossachs include fishing, golfing, walking, cycling, water sports, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and more.

Callander has an 18 hole golf course boasting some of the best views in the Trossachs. The championship standard Loch Lomond Golf Course is less than 1 hour away (by car). Other courses within a reasonable distance are: Aberfoyle (Trossachs), Alloa, Alva, Bonnybridge, Bridge Of Allan, Dollar, Drymen, Dunblane, Falkirk, Killin, Larbert, Muckhart, Stirling and Tillicoultry

Loch Venachar is 3 miles away on a fairly level road and can be included in a pleasant 6 mile circular walk, Loch Achray and Loch Katrine are only 20 minutes or so in the car and the Lake of Menteith with the historic Inchmaholme Prior is about 4 miles south west of Callander. The scenic lochs north of Aberfoyle are a short car ride - about 12 miles via Port of Menteith and Aberfoyle.

The A84 trunk road allows you to reach Stirling within half an hour by car, 50 minutes takes you to Glasgow and around 1.5 hours gets you to Edinburgh, Scotland's capital with all its shops and attractions.

Alamardon is an excellent base allowing you to explore further afield; Callander is well located quite centrally in Scotland to visit other areas..

Almardon Self Catering Rates

Our rates have deliberately been kept reasonable and great value.  We only have two weekly rates;  high and low season.  Heating and electricity costs are all included.

• Low Season :  £300.00 to £400.00 per week
• High Season:  £450.00 to £550.00 per week.

Short Breaks and festive season

• Short breaks are available in Low Season from £180.00 (minimum stay 3 nights)

• Out of Season Monthly Rates:  please phone 01877 331597 for information and prices for 1 or more months.

Almardon sleeps a maximum of 6 persons.

Dogs are welcome
Almardon welcomes a well behaved dog by special arrangement. Please phone or email Margaret (prior to booking your stay for Almardons conditions) on bringing dogs eg reimbursing for any damage caused by pets, bringing dogs own bedding, dogs cannot be left alone in the property.
